MS Project was designed and optimized specifically for the Windows operating system. Building project management software for Macs wasn’t Microsoft’s concern. In fact, the last time that there was a version of Microsoft Project for Apple users was back in 1993 with Microsoft Project 4.0 for Mac. Sadly, that doesn’t work now! Dec 03, 2019 Unfortunately Microsoft Project, also known as MS Project, wasn’t designed for Mac computers, so it won’t work on any version of Mac OS. But there is a workaround that can solve your problem. It’s not complicated, and in fact, it’s easier to use than the MSP interface.

Get started
If you've already installed the prerequisites and Visual Studio for Mac, skip this section and proceed to Creating a project. Follow these steps to install the prerequisites and Visual Studio for Mac:
Download the Visual Studio for Mac installer. Run the installer. Read and accept the license agreement. During the install, select the option to install .NET Core. You're provided the opportunity to install Xamarin, a cross-platform mobile app development technology. Installing Xamarin and its related components is optional for .NET Core development. For a walk-through of the Visual Studio for Mac install process, see Visual Studio for Mac documentation. When the install is complete, start the Visual Studio for Mac IDE.
Creating a project
Select New on the start window.
In the New Project dialog, select App under the .NET Core node. Select the Console Application template followed by Next.
If you have more than one version of .NET Core installed, select the target framework for your project.
Type 'HelloWorld' for the Project Name. Select Create.
Wait while the project's dependencies are restored. The project has a single C# file, Program.cs, containing a
Programclass with aMainmethod. TheConsole.WriteLinestatement will output 'Hello World!' to the console when the app is run.
Run the application
Run the app in Debug mode using ⌘ ↵ (command + enter) or in Release mode using ⌥ ⌘ ↵ (option + command + enter).

One reviewer notes that iTaskX is ridiculously simple to use, saying that the software is, “easy to learn, has an intuitive interface, and it’s easy to work [sic] even when you have never touched itaskX before.”
iTaskX’s program is nicely laid out and simple to use. Its biggest claim to notoriety is that it fully integrates with Microsoft Project, the most popular project management software by a landslide. iTaskX lets users open Microsoft Project files and easily exchange information using XML and MPX files.
iTask is based around Waterfall project management–it runs off Gantt charts, tasks, and resources, and organizes all of these bits of information into simple graphics.

I couldn’t write this review without taking note of one of the most popular project management software options for Mac: Merlin Project.
The first thing that jumps out about Merlin is how intuitive it is. Don’t get me wrong, Merlin may have the most features available on this list, but the developers are careful to present the system’s options in an intuitive layout.
Instead of a jumble of menus and folders, Merlin takes all of its features and displays them simply. TechRadar explains,

Need to adjust a task because you have team members who have limited availability or because one task took longer than expected? No problem. Again, just drag and drop, and the program will fix estimates for you.
Microsoft Edge Download Mac Os
Notable features:
- OmniPlan has incredible filtering options. Project managers can narrow down their task lists by date, resource, effort, priority, dependency claims, and more, so they don’t get overwhelmed by all the information presented in the master Gantt chart.
- OmniPlan also offers Violation Resolution, which means that if something doesn’t look right to the program’s estimates, the software flag the task for the project manager’s review.
- The system is entirely compatible with Microsoft Project.
